National Children's Gardening Week: 29th May - 4th June, 10am - 4pm

National Children’s Gardening Week celebrates the fun that gardens hold for kids. Children go half-price to visit the gardens this week, with pot making and vegetable seeds sowing to get those little green fingers growing.

Wedding Fayre: 11th June, 11:30am - 2:30pm

Visit Barnsdale Gardens to see how your magical your wedding could be here and meet lots of local suppliers from photographers, florists and cake specialists.

*If tickets are not pre-booked there will be an entry charge on the day of £12.50 per adult and £8 per child.

Marie-Thérèse King, Exhibition of Batik Work: 17th June - 19th June & 21st June - 2nd July, 9am - 5pm

Marie-Thérèse's exhibition of batik work is open to all and free with garden admission. She describes herself as a non-digital designer, creating exquisite batik textile designs inspired by her passion for British wildlife, in particular birds, butterflies, insects and wild flowers, using the ancient Indonesian art-form of layering melted wax and water based dyes on Indonesian cotton to create vibrant paintings.

 

She teaches workshops in printmaking, cyanotype, batik and collage and will be hosting a workshop at Barnsdale Gardens later this year, when dates are confirmed.

Father’s Day Brunch and Family Nature Trail: 18th June

Brunch: 10:30am. Nature Trail: 9am - 5pm

Dad's get free entry for the day, when accompanied by a child; so bring your dad for a specially laid out breakfast, where when you buy one, he gets his free. Enjoy a hearty cooked full English breakfast, along with fresh pastries, chilled fruit juice and unlimited tea and coffee.
