Enough is enough!
I know I said that I liked the snow, but it really has hung around for too long now. Yes, the garden has looked like a winter wonderland from well before Christmas but it is now getting very hard to find things to do. The cold is no problem as long as things can be seen, but this white blanket covering the garden means that we can't even get on with our tidying jobs. The staff are all keen and eager to get their teeth stuck into it but are frustratingly having to carry out fairly unimportant jobs, that although still need to be done are not the most exciting!
Still, the cold weather has thrown up some more unusual sights. It has been a while since we have seen any "ice maidens" in the garden, but keeping the water pump going in the Pond and Knot Garden has thrown up some unexpected beauty.

This one still looks brazen, even in this cold weather. However, the one below suddenly became far more modest!

I am still wading through all the entries we had for the name the kittens competition. The problem I am having is that there are a few that all seem so fitting, but a decision is imminent.
